Summer Jewelry Trend Favorites

Hi friends! I feel like it’s been quite a while since I’ve blogged (and it has)! It was a busy, chaotic end to the school year so I took the first couple weeks of summer to relax, catch up with friends and family, and enjoy the sunshine! Now that summer is officially here, I can’t wait to jump back into blogging more regularly.

During my two-week hiatus, I also took some time to plan out what I wanted to share with you guys this summer! There’s lots in store so be sure to stay tuned for summer beauty favorites, the best makeup for those hot summer days, the cutest summer accessories, smart spending tips AND a series! That’s right! I’ll be doing a 3-part blog series on a topic I’ve become very passionate about over the last six months. I can’t wait!

So, to kickoff my blog posts for summer, I wanted to share my favorite summer jewelry trends! I love a unique piece and I’ve scored some pretty cute ones recently.

There are two trends in particular that I’m LOVING this season – druzy and geometric shapes! And if you don’t know what druzy is, you’ve probably seen it before! It’s the exposed/glittery effect of a natural stone. It’s a subtle shimmer and I just think it’s gorgeous when it’s used to make jewelry. I also tend to stick with gold jewelry during the summer months because I think it looks best up against glowing skin!

Keep reading to learn more about my three favorite pieces!

Landry Earrings

These geometric drop beauties caught my eye right away! They have a loose, clear stone inside each tier which gives them a little extra sparkle. We’re seeing geometric shapes everywhere this summer, especially with home décor, but I especially love the geometric jewelry trend! These are unlike any pair of earrings I have and have ever seen! If you’re looking to snag these, they are not available online but I found them at Dillard’s!

Panacea Druzy Necklace

Like I said, I’m living for druzy this summer. I love when natural stones and minerals are used to make jewelry and I especially love the unrefined, natural shimmer look of druzy pieces. No two pieces are the same! Currently, my fave is this gold fringe Panacea statement necklace that I spotted at Nordstrom last month. Unfortunately this has sold out on Nordstrom’s website but it’s ON SALE on Panacea’s website right now!

Michael Kors Rings

Another one of my favorite looks/jewelry styles is micropave`. Micropave` is when tiny diamonds or other stones are set close together covering the entire surface of the piece. I love a bold, glimmering statement ring for a night out but for every day, I like to throw on more subtle rings like stackable bands. These micropave` MK bands are perfect for day-wear and, although they’re subtle, I get so many compliments on these! The sparkle is small but mighty!

Blush Is In Bloom: 9 Accessories You Need This Spring

 Happy Spring!

Spring is officially here! Flower buds are starting to peek through the dirt and the weather is warming up!

Spring accessory trends have made their way into magazines and boutiques, and with summer right around the corner, our wardrobes are coming back to life! You might be opting for brighter colors, fun floral patterns, or a pair of flats instead of boots before heading out to work or brunch!

I love to kick off the winter-to-spring transition with soft pastels and neutrals! I slowly start to put away my darker colored clothes and accessories and bring out the pinks, blushes, and nudes!

If you haven’t already done this winter-to-spring accessory transition, keep reading for some springtime style inspiration! Today I’m sharing 9 must-have spring accessories that will have you feeling fresh, alive, and ready for a new season of life!

Kate Spade Laurel Way Jessie Backpack

Try out a backpack in a bright color this season instead of your traditional tote or crossbody! I just snagged a spring-colored Kate Spade bag for $40 at my local TJ Maxx! There was a flaw on the front of the purse which sent it straight to the clearance rack but since it sat there for a week or two, it was marked down a second time! When it was all said and done, the purse was over 80% off! Check your local TJ Maxx first before splurging on a new spring bag! They always have fun colors and unique pieces!

Victoria’s Secret “Crush” Fragrance

Wake up your senses with freshly scented perfume! Push your heavy, muskier winter fragrances to the back and start spritzing on something floral! I’m currently loving Victoria’s Secret “Crush” perfume! It’s so refreshing!

Rose Gold Aviator Sunglasses

You can find this trendy new spin on aviators at Target or Francesca’s! Flat, mirrored frames are so in this season!

Kendra Scott “Tessa” Earrings

You can’t go wrong with anything from Kendra Scott. Her jewelry designs are so classy and unique. I’m totally eyeing these adorable rose quartz studs!

Ted Baker “Rada” Ring

When it comes to spring/summer accessories, it’s all about having fun with brighter colors! I love a fun pop-of-pink statement piece and I think everyone should own a glitzy cocktail ring! This Rada ring is just enough of all of that!

Pink Marble Phone Case

Give your phone a new look! Your current phone case probably went through a lot this winter and it might be time to ditch the dirty, cracked look. Check out eBay or Amazon for a case with a lovely floral pattern or this one in pink marble! Marble is EVERYTHING.

Fresh Flowers

Do yourself a favor and keep your favorite room in the house stocked with fresh flowers! Flowers always put me in a better mood and get me excited about more sunshine and new beginnings! If you think grabbing a $5 bouquet every week at the grocery store is a waste, browse HomeGoods for a faux arrangement like this one!

BP Sky Wedge Sandals

I’m such a wedge junkie…. They’re comfy, they come in literally every color and you can dress them up or wear them with jeans! ….can’t say the same about stilettos, can you? Grab a suede pair to wear in those cooler months before summer hits! This pair from Nordstrom is under $50!

Cluse “La Bohème” Watch

Step out of your comfort zone and try a pink timepiece! Soft blush goes with just about everything anyways!

Favorite Bangles & Bracelets

I love the way a simple bangle or bracelet can jazz up any look! I think, besides rings, bracelets are my favorite accessory! I scored so many cute ones last year. They’re all so different and fun but I feel like I finally have ALL the basics… you know – a few gold, a few silver, some rose gold, and then a statement piece or two! But I definitely have my favorites and I’ll share those below!

I had my moment with both Pandora and Alex and Ani but I have to say, I actually prefer unique, boutique-y pieces! No judgment if you have Alex and Ani bracelets up to your elbow, I dig it! For this post, though, I’m talking mostly about the no-name bracelets hiding underneath a pile of tangled necklaces in the sale section. That is where treasures are hidden, my dear!

Of course I gravitate toward pricier, sparkly, precious metal wrist candy (come to me, Cartier) BUT I found that you can still get that look without going broke! Three of my favorite and most complimented bracelets were UNDER $10… So, if you look hard enough you’ll find the steals!

How gorgeous are these bangles? I found the silver set this summer at TJ Maxx and I hadn’t seen anything like them there since…. until last week when I found them at the same TJ Maxx in rose gold! They’re just the prettiest! I’ve seen them in one other style too so check your local TJ Maxx for these!

Really, you can’t go wrong with Kate Spade. This is the simplest and classiest bangle! It’s the perfect yellow gold bangle. It has a shiny, 12-karat gold finish with “Kate Spade” and “HEART OF GOLD” inscribed on the inside. This is my favorite “every day” bangle. It’s just precious!

I’ve been all about tassels lately so when I opened these on Christmas morning, I was all (emoji with the heart eyes)! My mom found this one at Dillard’s tucked under a bunch of other bracelets. She has such a good eye! There are 5 delicate bangles attached by a tassel charm. This bracelet is so light and dainty but so feminine. Gold glimmer and tassels… yes please!

I swear, Dillard’s has the best clearance jewelry. These bracelets were on clearance for $7 and people go nuts over these when I wear them! They’re so simple and light but the beads have a sparkle to them. I had to have gold and silver. Also, I love that they’re adjustable! That style of bracelet is where it’s at right now!

So these are the bracelets and bangles I’ve been LIVING for lately! Before running out of the house for the day, I throw on one or two and they just add something special to whatever I’m wearing! People are always asking me where I get them so I thought I’d share!

Do you have a favorite bracelet? Are you a stack girl or do you prefer just one bangle? Do you have a favorite design? Let’s chat!

Top 4 Bootie Picks

I don’t know about you but booties are my fave! You can find me wearing them whenever the snow is ankle-deep! I used to be a big fan of riding boots, which fall just below the knee, but then shorter-length boots started killin’ the shoe game and seriously… the design possibilities are endless. I feel like there are so many different styles when it comes to the little guys! And there’s no wrong way to wear them! I like to roll my jeans up so the cuff hits just above the top of the boot!

There are so many gorgeous, well-made, and budget friendly booties on my shoe shelves the market right now but I’m narrowing down my top 4 favorites! As always, I didn’t pay full price for any of these! Some are from last season but I will give you the scoop on where I found each for $65 or less!

Juicy Couture – Rhinestone Ankle Boots

Aright so initially I pulled these off the shelf as a joke last month on Black Friday. I couldn’t actually wear these, I thought, and then I put them on! And if you know me, you know that if it sparkles or shines in any capacity, it’s love at first sight… I need it. I walked around the store in these for a hot minute and my mind was made up. These babies were coming home with me! Now they’re definitely not every day booties, they’re very flashy, so I’ve decided they’ll make their debut on New Year’s Eve! They were 50% off plus I used a 30% off coupon on top of that. You can find them at Kohl’s!

TOMS – “Leila” Bootie

This is another pair that I would consider somewhat of a statement bootie. They’re a bit different than your average TOMS bootie or really any standard black or brown boot. They consist of two different textures… the toe is grey wool while the ankle/top portion is a shimmery grey textile material (they had me at “shimmer”)! The zipper on the back has fun tassels attached to them too! I bought these online so I was worried they’d be too much for me but there’s just something special about them! Not to mention, they’re so well made and comfy. I purchased them from Neiman Marcus last January when they were 30% off and then I registered for their e-mails which saved me another 10% on my purchase! You can find these on sale on right now!

Aldo A+ for Target – “Isa” Bootie

Last fall Aldo teamed up with Target! Among the collection came the “Isa” bootie in the dreamiest taupe color. I’m picky about my taupe, tan, and beige boots… they have to be on the cooler side versus a warm tan or brown. I eyed these for a good month because I really didn’t want to pay $45 for them. I’m glad I waited because before I knew it they were nearly half off! But I had to do unspeakable things to get the last pair in my size! Just kidding… but it was hard to track down the size I needed! They were flying off shelves. Fast-forward to a year later, I’ve nearly worn them to the ground! They’re extremely versatile (if you don’t mind a 3.5 inch heel) and for being a Target shoe, they’re holding up just fine! Sadly, you won’t come across this exact boot this season but Aldo has similar styles currently!

Circus by Sam Edelman – “Jolie” Fringe Ankle Bootie

These bad boys might just be my every day faves! They are seriously the! Every now and then I like a boot that clicks on the ground like a stiletto heel would (safety alert: do not wear boots that click on those slippery, icy days)! It just makes me feel a little more in charge haha, and even though they “click”, the heel is only ¼ of an inch! So they’re super comfy, super fun with the side tassel business going on, and they’re all leather which I love in a shoe! They’ll last for quite a while. These booties were a TJ Maxx find so they were significantly discounted from the original $90 price tag! I’m always leery about why higher-end shoes are there or discounted… I wonder if they’re uncomfortable or if there’s a flaw but these Sam Edelman booties turned out to be a huge score! I get so many compliments when I wear them! Always check your local TJ Maxx for the best prices on designer boots!

Well, these are my “favorite four” when it comes to booties! I’ve been loving each pair this season!

Do you have a favorite pair? I’m always looking for recommendations ; )

Stay warm, beauties!

Fun Fall Accessories: Leopard is Back!

Leopard Clutch Cayley Couture Blog Michael Kors Darci Charming Charlie Teardrop Earrings

Happy Monday, lovelies!

As you might know, I took a short girls trip last week to celebrate the blog launching but don’t you worry! I’ve been busy, busy, busy! There’s a ton of great content coming your way this holiday season!

So here’s a short little fall accessory post to get the week started!

I’ve always been a big fan of leopard print but it has its seasons. Sometimes it’s out, sometimes it’s in and right now – it is most definitely in! I can’t get enough!

I dug out a lot of my older leopard print clothes and accessories for the season but I had to share my latest finds with you! These make great gifts too!

What I love most about the leopard clutch is that the strap is detachable and the leopard fabric on the front is soft and fur-like! It gives the clutch that extra “rawr”! It’s also surprisingly spacious! I don’t know about you but I’m always struggling to fit my must-have belongings inside smaller clutches. Not with this guy!

And how about these darling, gold teardrop earrings? They caught my eye right away! They are a hot list item this season for sure! They’re so simple and light but SO sparkly. I’ve dressed up denim with these but they could be paired with something more elegant too. They’re so versatile!

As for the watch, this Michael Kors “Darci” watch is my all-time favorite! It made its debut in 2012 and it’s still a best seller. I’ve tried on so many different watches but nothing compares to this one. It’s silver, gold, and rose gold so it goes with literally everything! Also, I’ve seen this color along with other colors on sale (like, over 50% off) at department stores like Dillard’s and Macy’s. If the price tag scares you but you love the style, wait it out and keep an eye on their Black Friday deals!

I’ve linked all of the accessories that are pictured below. The best part is that the leopard clutch and teardrop earrings were under $10 each so snag them as stocking stuffers or birthday gifts while you still can!
